Cobus and Lindy Pretorius started their relationship with BP and their involvement in the fuels and lubricants industry in 1992 when they took over a BP retail service station in Jericho near Brits in the North West Province. This business is still an integral part of the family’s business interests, now under the able leadership and management of the two sons Jaco and Juan.
This dynamic and successful family business team established Intertrans Oil SA (Pty) Ltd in 2000 and commenced business as a wholesale distributor in Gauteng of BP fuels, gas and lubricants including Castrol from a depot situated in Clayville Olifantsfontein.
The company experienced significant growth in the business from humble beginnings to a multi million rand turnover per annum.
Cobus and Lindy attribute the success achieved in the business primarily to favour and grace from their Heavenly Father, their active involvement in the business together with their sons Jaco, Juan and their spouses in the management of the business, unashamedly ethical business practices, personal attention and involvement, hard work, dedicated, loyal and competent personnel, the creation of a healthy and safe working environment, attention to the environment, loyal and stable customer base.
